Meebo Alternatives

Even if Meebo is a great web-based messenger, some people think it isn't the best, so here is a list of alternatives or competitors for you to try

MSN Web Messenger

Pros: It is an almost exact clone of its analogue desk.
Disadvantages: Only works with the MSN network, is only compatible with IE / Firefox (nothing Opera, Safari, etc.…) and to be the best known, certainly have baneado too.

Kool IM

Pros: Easy to use, you can enter directly without registering and Multi (msn, yahoo, gtalk,… etc.). If you register you can handle all your accounts from a single.
Disadvantages: It has no support for Jabber (curious to Gtalk yes), so if you use the network, you can discard it. If you do not use more than recommended.

EBuddy

Pros: Supports MSN, AIM and YAHOO. It is almost like a messenger desktop, and has many small features: You can see a photo of your contacts, you can sign up with an initial state (for example, appear as offline), supports tabs, etc.…
Disadvantages: For my taste, has too many ads (it also seems to MSN Messenger). It has no support for Gtalk or other networks, and does not allow to be connected to other networks simultaneously.

MessengerFX

Pros: Works with most modern browsers has the same degree of compatibility that Meebo (IE, Firefox, Opera, Safari, Konqueror…)
Disadvantages: Only compatible with the MSN network and we can only connect to an account at the same time. Compared with others, it may appear that has few features (which for many can be a pro).

ILoveIM

Pros: Has support for MSN, YAHOO and AOL. Like MessengerFX, is functional in different browsers to IE and Firefox.
Disadvantages: Have enough publicity, but the majority is kind AdSense. Nor is compatible neither with Gtalk or Jabber.

Mabber

Pros: Multiprotocolo.
Disadvantages: Registration is required and each conversation requires a popup window). It does not work in browsers other than IE and Firefox, and on top is somewhat slow, you can even hang the browser you are in the process of importing contacts.

CommunicationTube

Pros: Very fast, and is Multi can be used from most browsers.
Disadvantages: The interface is quite ugly, and the choices are very limited. Unsupported Yahoo network.

RadiusIM

Pros: It has multiprocol and also has its own network, which allows you to talk to people geographically close to you.
Disadvantages: Registration is mandatory, and above ask something personal information (I think a service like this does not need to know my gender and date of birth). It is only compatible with IE / Firefox.

Snimmer

Pros: Multi (the most complete), and you can have an account that covers all other accounts.
Disadvantages: The interface is a bit chaotic and is not very easy to use.
